Scrappy Donation Quilt

In the Texas Two-Step Scrappy Lap Quilt Workshop the participants make blocks based on value.  I chose this version of the quilt to teach since sorting fabrics by value is one the most difficult lessons to learn. Some students would prefer to go home without another UFO.  One option is to donate the blocks made in class. 

This quilt was made by Karen Shively using the donated blocks from the workshop I taught for the Quilt Guild of Greater Houston.  The set is the same one used in Down the Line.  I was delighted with the results.  This quilt is proof that if you get the values right, very different fabrics can make a wonderful quilt.
