Maple Leaf:  Blowing in the Wind

This trade was inspired by a Maple Leaf quilt in Alex Anderson's book Quilts for Fabric Lovers. It was one of our most successful trades.  The leaf colors (red, yellow & green - all from one side of the color wheel) and the black with white backgrounds served as what I call unifying elements that helped make the blocks go together easily.  I found it difficult to randomly place the leaves (I have control issues) but I was happy with the final results.
